Shannon Butcher Trio
Saturday September 7, 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm | Stage in the Round | Music
Jazz vocalist Shannon Butcher connects with her audience not just with her outstanding voice, but also with her self-composed songs and her re-imagined jazz arrangements of contemporary pop hits. After graduating from the University of Toronto, Shannon became one third of the vocal trio Swing Rosie, who garnered acclaim for their tight harmonies and high-energy performances; she has since established herself as a successful solo artist in the Canadian jazz community. Shannon has released three albums, has performed at numerous festivals including the TD Toronto Jazz Festival, Burlington Sound of Music Festival, Orillia Jazz and Blues Festival, and has headlined theatre concerts and club dates throughout Canada. Shannon has been the head of the Vocal Faculty at National Music Camp since 2008.
